Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of mysite-name's cookery classes and culinary services across England. Please read them carefully before booking any classes to ensure a clear understanding of our cooking approach, participant responsibilities, and safety procedures.

1. Service Agreement

By booking our cookery classes-whether through individual sessions, course packages, or private group bookings-you agree to these terms. Our culinary services operate in compliance with relevant UK food safety regulations and health and safety requirements.

We provide professional cookery instruction through our experienced chefs and culinary instructors across England.

2. Class Scope and Culinary Standards

Our services include hands-on cooking instruction, recipe demonstrations, and culinary skill development. We focus on providing quality culinary education using proper techniques and food safety practices.

While we deliver instruction to professional standards, cooking outcomes can be influenced by individual skill levels, ingredient variations, and kitchen equipment. We provide supportive guidance and use our expertise to facilitate culinary learning.

3. Participant Responsibilities

To ensure safe and enjoyable class experiences, participants agree to:

  • Disclose all food allergies and dietary restrictions when booking
  • Follow instructor guidance and kitchen safety procedures
  • Wear appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes in the kitchen
  • Maintain good personal hygiene and clean work areas
  • Handle kitchen equipment with care and attention
  • Respect other participants and instructional staff

Active participation and adherence to safety guidelines help create positive learning experiences for everyone.

4. Food Safety and Allergies

Participants must inform us of any food allergies, intolerances, or dietary requirements at the time of booking. While we take precautions to accommodate dietary needs, we cannot guarantee completely allergen-free environments due to shared kitchen facilities.

We reserve the right to refuse participation if undisclosed severe allergies pose significant safety risks in our kitchen environment.

5. Booking and Confirmation

Class bookings are confirmed upon receipt of full payment or deposit where applicable. Booking confirmation requires acceptance of these terms and provision of necessary dietary and contact information. Class positions are secured upon confirmation receipt.

Last-minute dietary requirements may limit our ability to accommodate specific needs, though we will make reasonable efforts to do so.

6. Fees and Payment Terms

Class fees are as published and are due according to the booking confirmation. For private group bookings exceeding £500, we typically require a 50% deposit to secure the date. Payment methods and schedules will be confirmed before class commencement.

Outstanding payments may affect future booking availability. We reserve the right to refuse participation until outstanding balances are settled.

7. Kitchen Safety and Conduct

All participants must follow kitchen safety instructions, including proper knife handling, equipment operation, and hygiene practices. Instructors may intervene if safety procedures are not followed.

We maintain appropriate insurance coverage but cannot accept responsibility for incidents resulting from failure to follow safety instructions.

8. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations received 14 days before class date receive full refund. Cancellations within 7-13 days receive 50% refund. No refunds are provided for cancellations within 7 days of class date or for non-attendance.

We understand that circumstances change and will make reasonable efforts to accommodate class transfers when possible, subject to availability.

9. Alcohol Consumption

Some classes may include wine pairing or cooking with alcohol. Participants must be 18 or older to consume alcohol, and we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone appearing intoxicated or underage.

Responsible alcohol consumption is expected, and alternative non-alcoholic options are always available.

10. Age Restrictions and Children

Most regular classes are for participants aged 16 and above. Family classes and specific children's workshops have different age requirements as specified in class descriptions.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult in family classes, with supervision responsibilities remaining with the accompanying adult.

11. Recipe and Intellectual Property

Class recipes and teaching materials are provided for personal use only. Participants may not reproduce, distribute, or teach our proprietary recipes for commercial purposes without explicit permission.

We encourage participants to enjoy recreating dishes at home and sharing with family and friends for personal enjoyment.

12. Class Modifications and Cancellations

We reserve the right to modify class content, recipes, or instructors to maintain quality and accommodate seasonal ingredient availability. Significant changes will be communicated to booked participants with reasonable notice.

In rare cases where we must cancel a class, participants will receive full refunds or option to transfer to alternative dates.

13. Liability Limitations

Our liability for culinary services is limited to the class fees paid. We cannot accept responsibility for individual cooking outcomes, personal preference variations, or allergic reactions where allergies were not disclosed in advance.

We maintain appropriate insurance and follow food safety best practices in all our classes.

14. Terms Modification

We reserve the right to update these terms periodically to reflect changes in our services, UK regulations, or culinary practices. The current terms are always available on our website, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updates.
